Nike Botches Virgil Abloh Release

Nike's attempt at releasing two pairs from Virgil Abloh's "The Ten" collaboration via @NikeNYC on Twitter on Thursday was a confusing and frustrating episode. The brand had planned to give Twitter followers a chance at the Presto and Air Max 90 from the pack, but ended up basically postponing the release after a few blunders. It began on Nov. 8, when Nike wrote that it would hold an online draw for the shoes on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 5 p.m. EST. It followed up that tweet with a series of apologetic replies explaining that the release would happen at 6 p.m. instead.
