Beautiful music in brutal surrounds.

Influential Mexican architecture firm Rojkind Arquitectos has unveiled its latest project, creating a huge concrete and wood concert hall on the Veracruz waterfront. Named “Foro Boca,” the building takes inspiration from stones found in the nearby breakwater and is made up of a series of large concrete structures. The building’s interior features prominent wooden features, with staircases, seats and panelling contrasting the material used on the exterior. “Foro Boca” houses an auditorium that has been specially designed for the city’s orchestra as well as space to seat 850 guests. Elsewhere, the building will house a series of other cultural projects, including an after-school social program for the Mexican city’s low-income children.
