The Air Jordan 13 was another stroke of brilliance on the part of designer Tinker Hatfield as he was once again the mastermind behind another highly popular Jordan Brand signature sneaker. Grabbing inspiration from the black panther, in conjunction with Michael Jordan's feline quickness which earned him the name "Black Cat", Hatfield created the model with a lightweight build for a quicker response time. Aside from the panther print that graces the side panel of this spectacular model, the highlighting feature comes in the form of the holographic Jumpman placed near the ankle of the construction and representing the eye of the black panther. Michael Jordan put up big numbers in the Air Jordan 13 and wore them during the 1998 NBA Playoffs and Finals before switching into the 14's and finishing off his career as a member of the Chicago Bulls in legendary fashion.
