Man Arrested for 100k Check-cashing Fraud To Buy Air Jordan Collection
To me this seems like a modern day Scarface with a sneaker theme. The man you see above sitting in a New York courtroom is being accused of check-cashing scams to fund his Air Jordan obsession. Carlton Carter stole $100,000 from NY banks to buy over 300 pairs of Jays as the prosecutor puts it. So 50 racks wasn’t enough huh? Maybe he was trying to raise enough money to buy that Yeezy collection on eBay for $100k , but figured he could get way more Jordans for that price, ha! It’s okay to love sneakers, but this hobby shouldn’t land you in jail because you want to have the most Air Jordans in your town.
