Pro Bowler Andre Johnson Retires After 14 Seasons
Although midway through the 2016-2017 season, Andre Johnson has announced his retirement from the NFL. After 14 seasons, the seven-time Pro Bowler is ninth in total receptions (1,062) and tenth in total receiving yards (14,185), while holding many of the receiving records for the Texans. Having played for the Titans this year and the Colts last season, Johnson spent his first 12 seasons with the Texans, after being selected third overall in the 2003 draft. His illustrious career has been overshadowed by a whole lot of loses, but it shouldn’t stop the touchdown machine from eventually getting the Hall of Fame nod.
