[email protected]_camera releases one of its rarest special editions yet: a Leica Q Typ 116 in carbon fiber.
Leica’s highly coveted cameras are well regarded as the perfect “capture the defining moment” camera , while mixing in luxury, sophistication and ease of use into the mix. Enter the Leica Q Carbon Special Edition, which was released in Japan on November 23. The leatherette camera wrap around the standard Q Typ 116 has been replaced by an eye-catching strip of “real soft carbon” — as translated — which is a special processed textile that requires the intricate weave and geometry of fiber for maximum durability. Camera spec-wise, nothing has changed off the Typ 116; the system still features a 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor, a 28mm Summilux ASPH lens at f/1.7, built-in EVF, touch screen rear panel and more.
