Even though Marv Albert has been the premiere voice of the NBA for as long as most of the people reading this have been alive, he had never called an NBA game in his home borough of Brooklyn until last night’s match-up between the Boston Celtics and the newly-christened Brooklyn Nets. Grantland put up an amazing piece on this homecoming that everybody should read if you have even an ounce of respect for one of the all-time great play-by-play announcers in any sport.
