Shots were reported earlier this morning on H Street NE, reportedly tied to release of new Air Jordan shoes.

Photo by philliefan99 The Metropolitan Police Department has confirmed that it is investigating a report of shots fired on H Street NE this morning, and a source tells DCist that the incident was related to the release of new Air Jordan shoes, where a large crowd had gathered since last night. (Lines have been reported at other shoe stores across town.) No one was injured, say police. The Titan of Trinidad puts the location at DTLR at 902 H Street NE, and has a few on-the-scene tweets from people who first heard of the shooting. People who live nearby say they heard seven or eight shots.
