Future iPhones Might Not Have Any Ports At All

While the first iPhone in 2007 incorporated a 30-pin charging/syncing port, the component has decreased in size due to the advances in tech and as a result, the current input is the miniature lightning port that first appeared on the iPhone 5 in 2012. Now five years later, Apple is upgrading the iPhone with more tech and rightfully so as more modern tech is utilized, with the introduction of wireless charging capabilities on the upcoming iPhone 8 in celebration of its 10th anniversary, according to rumors . Interestingly, wireless charging isn’t the norm yet do to a few factors — cost, compatibility and it’s slower than charging through a wire.
