adidas Tennis Court Top: almost an Edberg

We weren't all that familiar with the adidas Tennis Court Top back in the day. Our eyes were on endorsement deals back then and the visible technology era had us totally distracted. So a 1988 clay court creation was destined to pass us by, no matter how top-of-the-line it was. We'd seen the light a couple of years prior anyway, when our Lendl preoccupation was superseded by the power of the adidas Stefan Edberg shoe. While Stefan Dennis who played Neighbours' resident tycoon would bust out top line adidas gear during a brief singing career, Edberg was the Stefan who truly made us feel good with his signature 3-stripe pieces. There's plenty of shoes that are in archive limbo for various reasons and while there's been a foray into Lendl retros early last decade, the Stefan Edberg never got a rerelease.
