Fans have a reason to rejoice.

Amy Winehouse fans have much to celebrate, as a previously unreleased track recently hit the web for all to enjoy. Based on a report from the Camden New Journal , “My Own Way” was recorded in composer Gil Cang’s studio by a then 17-year-old up-and-coming Winehouse. The tune, as claimed by Cang, was co-written by James McMillan in 2001 and was meant to serve as a demo, which would, in turn, have been sent to record companies. “I’ve had it knocking about for so long. I found it again last week and thought — I’ll put it out there so people could hear it,” Cang explains when referring to the song. As can be expected from the title, the number explores living life a certain way to please oneself — referring to love, career, self-expression and everything in between.
