How to integrate checkerboard into your wardrobe

The world would not be the same were it not for the invention of black and white checkerboard print—specifically checkerboard Vans. Jeff Spicoli, the lovable stoner from Fast Times at Ridgemont High , would not have been as righteous, kids since the 1980s wouldn't have had a way of pledging allegiance to skater culture, and still today, musicians, actors, social media stars, and teens everywhere would be without one of the raddest clothing patterns—one as powerful an indicator of sartorial leanings as tie-dye or banker stripes. Wearing the little black and white squares on your Vans hasn't lost it's playful punk connotation, and there's still no cooler way to dress down a suit or declare your ultimate chillness by pairing them with slim straight white jeans.
